Like puzzles then pick an eschatology to focus on: You’ll have hours of fun trying to fit the bible into dispensationalism or covenantalism. Tired of waiting on the Lord’s return? It’s not about you! You don’t get to tell God how he does it. You don’t get to choose. It’s Jesus or….. nope thats it. Just Jesus!
Put your faith in Jesus.
Don’t redefine anything, don’t shift emphasis, don’t take your favorite verse out of context and view the whole bible through it. Don’t… Just don’t.
God is Holy. You are not. Get your head around it.
God has preserved his word because he is Holy (see above) so we should read it and study it. Let it guide us and not the other way around.
Love God with all your heart soul and mind and strength. And love your neighbor as yourself. Love the way Jesus loved. -I think that should keep you busy for a while. Let’s get those most important things done then we can talk about some other ideas.
Let Baptism be our only ism. Let us take the bible as our creed. The Gospel as our doctrine! Jesus Christ as our all in all.
